Amanda G. Crabtree (she/her) is an author/illustrator based in Durham, North Carolina.
 
Before beginning her career in picture books, Amanda worked as an artist in the animation industry at Marvel Animation Studios and Atomic Cartoons. 

A recipient of the 2024 Bronze Award at the SCBWI NY Winter Conference Portfolio Showcase, Amanda primarily uses relief printmaking techniques to create her immersive, textural illustrations.

If she's not at her desk with a strong coffee and the scribbles of book in progress, you're likely to find her bouncing around on a soccer field or cozied up with her kids reading a Dog Man book for the eight thousandth time.
