Bio:
Amanda Crabtree (she/her) is an author, illustrator, and printmaker.
Amanda studied printmaking and video production at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before moving to Los Angeles to work for Marvel Animation Studios. While there, she worked in production management on the series Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H., Ultimate Spiderman, and Guardians of the Galaxy.
After three years in production, Amanda transitioned to working as a pre-vis designer, storyboard artist, and illustrator for multiple animated productions including Disney Jr.'s hit series Spidey and His Amazing Friends.
In 2023 Amanda returned to her roots in printmaking and illustration, and in 2024 received the Bronze Award at the SCBWI NY Winter Conference Portfolio Showcase. Now based in Durham, North Carolina, she writes and illustrates picture books.
