Before beginning her career in picture books, Amanda worked as an artist in the animation industry at Marvel Animation Studios and Atomic Cartoons on the Disney Jr. series Spidey and His Amazing Friends.

 

A recipient of the 2024 Bronze Award at the SCBWI NY Winter Conference Portfolio Showcase, Amanda primarily uses relief printmaking techniques to create her illustrations. 

 

Amanda lives in Durham, North Carolina with her family. When she isn't holed up in the studio, you'll find her bouncing around on a soccer field, catching up with friends at a local coffee shop, or she'll wave to you from the car window as she chauffeurs around her busy children.
